About Cory Weiss

 

In 2013, Cory was hired by Howard Lorber and Dottie Herman to lead the expansion of Douglas Elliman to the West Coast. Since then, he has been instrumental in growing Douglas Elliman's residential brokerage and new development hybrid platform in California. In 2017, Cory was named President of New Development Douglas Elliman’s Western Region. In this position, he oversaw the rapid growth of West Coast development markets. He directed pre-development teams and ran sales for over $2 billion in record-breaking projects, including The West Hollywood Edition, The Pendry Residences, 8899 Beverly, Metropolis, and The Harland. Cory has an in-depth understanding of new developments, sales, marketing, and pre-development planning. In 2015, he was hired as Executive Vice President of New Development for Douglas Elliman. In this role, he spearheaded strategic planning and growth for the New York, Florida, and West Coast markets. He built a development gallery in New York on Madison Avenue and transformed how new developments were cross-marketed in major world markets.

 

In 2020, Cory pivoted and decided that the landscape of Los Angeles residential real estate was changing. After ten years of being a new development visionary, he felt that Los Angeles would celebrate the attributes of full-service luxury condominium living. He continues to have a robust residential sales business; however, he has immersed himself in the data and trends of the luxury condominium markets. Continuing as an advisor to the world's leading developers, he established Luxury Condos LA in the fall of 2023. This unique brand follows the trends of new developments and resales in the city's top buildings and products. His exceptional team specializes in this area and has immediately proven to be an industry leader.
